SYTYCD Top 14 Elimination Results

Tonight was So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) Season 5 Top 14 Elimination Episode.
In my previous post, I stated that I believed Randi/Evan, Vitolio/Karla and Caitlin/Jason would be the bottom 3 couples. I was right about only one: Vitolio and Karla. The other two couples were Phillip/Jeanine and Kayla/Kupono. Both of those couples surprised me when they were sent into the bottom 3 because I thought they did really well last night. Although, when I heard Phillip/Jeanine were in the bottom 3, I was hoping that at least Phillip would be eliminating because he's just not growing in this competition.

After a 30 second solo from each dancer, the judges ended up eliminating Vitolio and Karla. I was really sad to see Vitolio gone but honestly he didn't seem to be fighting very hard with his solo. I really really enjoyed his 2nd routine with his old partner, Asuka. It was so moving, and I have to say I fell in love with that couple during those steps. Now onto Karla. She was a great jazz/contemporary/hip-hop dancer and she did perform well yet she didn't really stand out much to me. However, she did do this amazing contemporary dance with her previous partner Jonathan and I think it deserves to be shown. It's so beautiful:
